Knowing when to sell is the hardest thing about investing. There's plenty of time to buy a stock -- but very little time to sell. Most of us sell too early because when a stock corrects after a run-up, we get scared. I think the main thing to focus on is the progress of the company. If they're still going forward - sales, earnings good, etc., with competition under control - it's best to stay with them.

Hi Lee, Thanks for the note. I peaked at about 30,000 shares last year when I ran out of cash buying into GENE at $2.50. You will all think I'm a bad person, but I've been selling into the rally as per my usual M.O. and now have only about 16,000 shares left. Still it's a tidy sum and the account is showing about 1/3 Cash Reserve at this point. So, if the market suffers a setback I'll have plenty of purchasing power on tap.

Current gross profit for my account is 724%. That works out to about a double every 4 years that I've owned it. Admittedly most of it happened in the last month, but......

:-)
Best regards, Tom
