nice trade bryan... i think (hope!!) we will see nite turn around quickly as this selling is way overdone... and according to thompson i watch it is all small sellers not big ones...

From Thompsons I-Watch email:

NITE -- Rgnl Invstmnt Brkrge -- Financial
20-Jan-00 11:43:21 After surging as high as $39 earlier this morning,
Knight/Trimark Group has fallen into negative territory, trading down
$1/8 to $37 3/16. The drop marks the 4th consecutive day of negative
territory for NITE despite the fact that it reported a blow-out 4Q on
Wednesday. Consistent with historical trends, today's trading is
attributable almost exclusively to Fast Money investors. This group
incorporates both professional and retail day traders looking to
capitalize on large intra-day price swings. The bulk of NITE's trades
(96%) have come as a result of small trades, not block transactions,
which is consistent with the high level of liquidity that these types
of traders like to keep. The pre-trade data shows that some big money
traders are looking to get rid of stock - the size of the Supers are
relatively small (25K to 50K) but the persistence of the brokers
suggests they have a decent amount of stock in inventory. In the very
near-term, this is likely to pressure shares of NITE - however, keep an
eye on I-Watch for signs that trends are shifting among professional
fast money traders.
