<<in Tech Data Press Release about a SAN partnership with CA.
biz.yahoo.com
Here is a Quote:
``Tech Data's alliance with CA is highly strategic,' said Tech Data Chairman and CEO Steve Raymund. ``CA's leading
enterprise management solutions will assist our resellers in adding value to their offerings and tapping into
significant profit opportunities. By partnering with CA in the enterprise class networking and software space, we will
be extremely well positioned to help VARs successfully drive into this technology segment.'

Key initiatives for Tech Data's CA business unit include creating a Network Management Solution Pack featuring
live trials, white papers, presentations and marketing materials. CA has partnered with Gadzoox and Exabyte to put
together a LANFree backup solution to be offered through Tech Data. These bundles will provide resellers with a
complete ``out-of-the-box' SAN solution that they can sell today.

Sam, Did you catch the EXBT conf call. Guidance was very conservative in that it included no OEM wins desite the fact that every major OEM except HP is either qualifying, evaluating or in discussions with EXBT.

On a different note, expect IBM's LTO to be out in roughly May with a transfer rate of at least 15 Mb/second. Some talk of as much as 20 which seems unlikely (perhaps confusing Ultrium with a different higher performance, low capacity version. Wondere if IBM would bring out their LTO if SEG and HP haven't achieved compatibility? -Z
