My first thoughts regarding the alliance were that perhaps it wasn't appropriate for RMBS to be a member since they only represent their own tech. That it would be more appropriate for the actual manufacturers to "fairly" evaluate all techs including RMBS. I thought with Intel and Samsung, RMBS' interests would be considered.

I think that was an incorrect interpretation. From the cc, Tate gave a completely different impression. He said that RMBS wasn't particularly interested at this point and that these sorts of alliances have a history of failure. Given that Intel is a member and perhaps a leading player, in my mind it is hard not to infer a schism of some degree between RMBS and Intel. It also throws some doubt into the Samsung relationship. Did Avo actually get pushed out as some of the FUD has reported?? I think those comments, the alliance and the suit have significantly degraded the RMBS story... unless of course they win the suit.
