On the day the music died, I heard Madonna's cover of American Pie. I didn't expect to like it, but it was far more horrible than I could have imagined. I can't decide what is worse - the arrangement or Madonna's soulless lackluster singing. The disco rhythm machine beat compete with the elevator music sounding synthesizer. Madonna sounds like she is singing while doing housework. Thank You Madonna for sparing tens of millions by pulling out of the superbowl.
