JDN,
I agree with you completely. WCOM is one of the better long-term values on the market today. I have been in it since the LDDS days, and continue to buy from time-to-time. Regrettably, I have reached my buy limit on this stock or would be buying a truck-load of it today. Do you know what the merger collar is now? I think around $41 on the bottom side, but not sure.

From my review of the emotional content of the posts on this thread, I conclude that the "long-term" horizon for most of the participants is under three months. That will never work with WCOM, unless you are a very shrewd trader, which I am definitely not!

I have only been investing for about 4 years, and use the NAIC investment philosophy and analytic tools. This approach may seem obsolete right now, but time does pass, and all things change and forever remain the same.

In my four years, every buy, but one has been a profitable and correct choice. Every sell I have made, but two have seriously limited my long-term gains. I have finally come to see the wisdom of Warren Buffet's famous tongue-in-cheek comment. When asked what is the best time to sell a stock, he replied,"Never!"

To all: I have found your comments to be always entertaining, and frequently informative. For you young ones, May all your children be just like you! For those my age, May you have many grandchildren, and grow in wisdom daily! Now, back to lurking for the next six months.
