Hi there--Catcher-- I very interested to learn all I can about calculating capital gains and losses and would like to find a good on-line broker that will give you a run-down at the end of the year. I like most everything about Ameritrade (especially the Stuart commercials), but they are sometimes slow up dating your account and they don`t give a run- down on the gains and losses. Any helpful information from anyone? TIA

yes they calculate you taxable gains and losses. I've use E-Trade since they IPO'd and I like their service, despite all the grumbling I hear about them and others, I have almost never had problems.
