I am sure that someone else has answered this....but....

The one discrepancy that we would have in DWA charts is that the chart can only move in one direction in a given day. In other words, if we are in a column of Os and we add another O and then the price reverses to the point that would give a reversal, it would not be reflected in the chart. Theoretically, if the next day's price reversed down again, we would never see that bar of Xs. Otherwise it would be printed on the bar for the next day. In the sense that the chart can only move in one direction on a given day, I guess that you could say that there is some factor of time, and I am not sure if the reason that it is done this way at DWA is for a purpose. In one sense, it would factor out some of the noise in a chart, but one person's noise might be another's relevant data.
