fine ! There's more than one way to skin a cat ! However, in the liquid stocks appropriate to this strategy, needing an uptick has not been a problem. I have not considered that I do not receive interest on the proceed s of the short hedge; it is not significant to me because I see my hedges as short-term. I suppose when I buy stock to hedge the upside (when the calls are in the money) I shall forfeit the interest that the purchase price wd yield.
