Georgeb,

No. But I have heard basically it is wireless PDA, notebooks, cell/digital phones talking to other smart devices (i.e. home settop boxes, garage doors, kitchen
appliances, etc. etc.). Communication is via satellites
or some form of GPS where your portable devices is tracked and within certain distance from your home, your dinner
starts cooking, garage door opens, lights, music, etc. etc. Sounds like a real neat ideas. I know Lucent has a hand in the SIG (Special Interest Group), but not clear as to how big a part they will play.

Hi GeorgeB

Do you want to know basically how it works?

I'd very much appreciate that. Is this hardware, software,
a protocol that anyone could implement... ? Does it need
licensing ?

Also, how does it interact with WAP and WML ? Do they
compete or co-operate ?

Regards
Dinesh
