Goutama, <FWIW - I put the market share data taken from the report posted by Ted in a table format - www4.techstocks.com PC market share =============== Q4'99 USA World wide Compaq 16% 14% (4.6M PCs) 14% = 4.6M PCs Dell 17% 10% (3.3M PCS) 100% =(4.6/14)*100M PCs HP 10.2% 7.5% (2.5M PCS) = 32.857M PCs. Gateway 9.2% IBM 5.5% 7.6% (2.5M PCs) Fujitsu Siemens 5.2% (1.7M PCs)> I noticed that too. Don't think the numbers wash. AMD shipped 6Mu and Intel probably shipped 30-32Mu. To be sure there is some lag between CPU shipments and PC shipments but the 4-6Mu difference sounds too high. Chuck
