"Palladium fixes at $465 all-time high, dealers say more possible
London--Jan 24--Spot palladium fixed at an all-time high of US $465 per
ounce Monday afternoon amid continued strong demand for the metal. Sources said
although overall trade remained thin, volume of business increased on the fix to
secure the all-time high. A lack of nearby material, and as yet still no sign of
Russian shipments, were deemed to be the main driving factors, although "the
strength obviously boils down to persistent strong demand," a source noted.

"NY Precious Metals: Palladium, platinum hit contract highs
New York--Jan 24--NYMEX Mar palladium and Apr platinum futures soared to

buying. Computer-driven automatic buy stops accelerated the gains. At 0924 ET,
Mar palladium was up $11.9 at $469.0, a contract high. Apr platinum was up $7.5
at $434.5 after hitting a contract high of $438.0. (Story .2332)"
