Perhaps I can send a bit of clarity your way.Shorts(I never)sometimes bring a stock price into a buying range that produces a pop and thereby causes momentum players and supporting cast to climb aboard and propel an issue to even higher highs. Not saying it is always the case but it happens.Shorts are noise that are just a part of the market and cannot affect the long term investor or a great stock such as Q in the long run.You make way too much about way too little.:)
Cheers
Ed

shorts sell stock

Hmmm - well I'd more likely sell calls or buy puts.

OTOH I don't have the cajones to short Q. Did sell puts a couple times last fall, but short Q? No way! Wouldn't be able to sleep.
