First, Ebbers does whatever it takes to get the deal through. The deal gets done. Second, the way to play this is to buy Sprint. On the upside you benefit from WCOM going forward. On the downside you have the collar and if the deal were to be blocked you have Sprint, which is back in play. Maybe Bellsouth would step up again, maybe Deutsche Telecom.
