Intel OWNS the Merced. Call them up - I'm sure they would be pleased to sell you one - if you can afford it !


I wonder how someone can imagine a company stealing a CPU design from a company that they jointly developed it with?

Paul, don't forget that among other things, Intel also obtained the StrongARM processor design as well as the IXP 1200 network processor from DEC. MPR said that this was "like Bill Gates winning the lottery."

Maybe Stevie Wonder is having a severe case of sour grapes, wondering why AMD can't diversify like Intel can.
