ken, those figures don't agree with the press release from NT either. Revenue is revenue---whatever Gap you want to use. I suspect there is some misinformation out there. I think it will get corrected by morning.

Kenneth, Judging from the words in this article, it looks like NT is reporting .55 under canadian accounting rules and .44 under American accounting rules.

"Brampton, Ontario-based Nortel said net earnings from operations for the quarter, excluding one-time items, rose by 53 percent to $755 million, or 55 cents a share, compared with $477 million, or 36 cents a share, in the year-earlier quarter.

Nortel's net earnings of 44 cents a share in the quarter, under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles, bettered the consensus of 41 cents per share from analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial."
