How so? I would have thought that with the phaseout of "odd lot" penalties at retail brokerages the nominal share price wouldn't make any difference to investors...I remember that Schwab ran a series of print ads a couple of years ago in which they made a point of showing customer portfolios with one or two shares of selected companies. Please correct me if I'm wrong; I haven't stayed that up to date with brokerage fee structures lately.
