Joan,

1. As I said, we'll check into this. I don't have an answer right now, but we'll have a look and let you know.

2. Searching "This Subject Only" definitely works on the new site, and search "This Person Only" is there as well. If you're looking at the new site - in the new format (i.e. *not* Classic format - at the bottom of the Profile page is a search box in the footer with the option to search "This Person Only". The Classic Format (on the new site) has a different footer. In the first rendition, this feature does not exist (it was *not* left out on purpose, mind you). This was actually one of the first bugs we caught, and like I said, it will be rectified shortly. It is definitely an important feature. In short, I think we are having a "violent agreement" with you on this one, not an argument. :)

3. Speaking of arguments...well, ah, you see...okay, okay, okay. I goofed. I read your reply to my reply, and then read my original PM, and then said, (and I quote), "@#$@#$@!@!". That's what I get for trying to be smart-ass! Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt that it was a typo. I will never question the grammar-master again.

Your faithful servant,

Bryan

Joan,

Sorry I haven't followed up sooner, but I wanted to let you know that we took a long look at the Grammar Clubhouse. It appears that everything is in working order. We noticed one typo in one of the URLs listed in the 3rd post (a "-" should be changed to a "/"). We're going to go in and fix that.

Also, you mentioned some broken links, so I wanted to make one point of clarification. When you are viewing the Clubhouse in the Abbreviated format, in the 6th post and the 3rd post, the {MORE} hot-link happens to be inserted in the middle of a URL. This is purely "luck of the draw" since the {MORE} hot-link is inserted based on the number of characters that precede the hot-link. So, (in Abbreviated format) if you click on the URL the 6th post, you get an error, or on the URL in the 3rd post, you get the SI StockTalk home page. What's happening is that you aren't seeing the entire URL in the Abbreviated format. If you view the Clubhouse in the Full-Length format, you'll see the entire URL and the links work correctly.

We have not changed any of the Clubhouse code, so these pages have always worked this way.

Finally, there are only about 30 Clubhouses in total. As I mentioned in a previous post, we intend to leave the Clubhouses up and running after we turn off the old site, until we develop a better solution that can be integrated into the new SI.

Since there are so few Clubhouses, our plan is to simply have a Clubhouse "table of contents" page which will include a hot-link to each of the Clubhouses. We will include additional details in a mass PM that will be sent shortly.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Bryan
