Some good news for @home implied today by T and San Francisco.

The city will most likely delay OA until 2003.

In another news story where Armstrong was interviewed for 10 mins. on CNBC, he spent most of the time discussing cable. Very positive. Better choice than DSL, less expensive and higher speeds. Stated that the speed issue for cable is a non-issue because more fiber nodes can inexpensively be installed in a neighborhood to resolve congestion. Quickly ramping up numbers as Jay notes.

My hunch is he cares more about execution of cable for his plans then the short term price fluctuations of the stocks, especially ATHM, and still is publicly cool toward @home in light of all the commotions. Privately he wants the job of execution done, period. He bought Hawaii and ATHM is a big, growing, producing pineapple farm that came with the deal, he knew what he was buying.[jmo]

Let Pringle pontificate, that's what he does for a living, not my choice but he feels he has to do it. How many listen to him? I'd like to know how fair the reporting really is when he quotes unnamed hooded figures in the dark of night as sources. Smells like a dirty gilded cage to me.

As KB alluded to, are we getting reporting or slanted bias opinion and gossip?

From Within My Concrete Bunker:

With sooo many sooo quick to slice and bloody @home, and with Yfin prowling these SI waters, I think we may have hit a bottom again and will see the growth we have all waited patiently for in the coming weeks and months as inexorably, here and there, the story comes out and looks better and better.

Here's a thought to make one smile, one day Yfin will be hustling to buy ATHM, and not to short it.

Over time it gets harder to call a young, strengthening 90lb. dog a pup.

This is not naive optimism Ron, I call it rational sobriety! <g>
