I bought today too (FFIDX), on the NYSE uptick. My short-term models suggest the market has turned up for now, but my longer term model still says "watch out".

Looks like money is flowing out of the NASDAQ into the less exciting but safer NYSE and bonds. If it continues for a few days, there might be a nice rally in the NYSE. That's what I'm hoping for, anyway.

Poor Tom. Freeze warning tonight. From Yahoo Weather Service, Orlando Florida:
>>THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES SO FAR THIS SEASON ARE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT. THE VERY COLD AIRMASS THAT HAS BEEN WITH US FOR THE LAST FEW DAYS WILL STICK AROUND FOR ONE MORE NIGHT. AS WINDS BEGIN TO SUBSIDE THIS EVENING...TEMPERATURES ALREADY WELL BELOW NORMAL...WILL DROP QUITE RAPIDLY. BY MORNING TEMPERATURES WILL BE BETWEEN 25 AND 30 DEGREES ACROSS LAKE...ORANGE...SEMINOLE AND VOLUSIA COUNTIES. AREAS TO THE SOUTH... INCLUDING OSCEOLA...BREVARD...OKEECHOBEE AND INDIAN RIVER COUNTIES... WILL HAVE TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 30S BY MORNING.

FINAL PREPARATIONS FOR PROTECTING TENDER VEGETATION WILL NEED TO BE COMPLETED EARLY THIS EVENING. IF YOU ONLY HAVE A SPACE HEATER TO PROVIDE WARMTH OVERNIGHT...BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS USING THIS EQUIPMENT. KEEP PLENTY OF CLEAR SPACE AROUND THE UNIT TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE AIRFLOW.

THE COLD AIRMASS WILL BEGIN TO MODIFY THURSDAY AND A RETURN TO MORE SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES IS EXPECTED BY FRIDAY.

Sincerely,
RFH (Balmy in Chicago)
