Brian and Rory,

I do not have the site, but if you look to the back of Daniel Yergin's book "The Price", you will see a graph from 1861 to 1990 in nominal and REAL prices. Nominal prices are
as those in

oilworld.com

Real prices were around $13 in 1920 dropping jaggedly to low of $4 around 1970. Then peaked to $45 by 1980.

I also would like to find a good source for the real prices.
