I for one would be interested in the portfolio folks are holding here and the % in each holding (e.g. 50% is in QCOM). And add any investment style you tend to use (Tek boy's comment).

Second, also not especially popular here, is the "let a hundred flowers bloom" approach, of which BB is the best example. Lots of small positions in lots of promising things.

100? Small positions?

I don't want to waste thread space and revisit an issue we covered last November. However, I've got to clear this up before any more laughing around the water cooler takes place at my expense. I can take the elbows, not to worry - so keep 'em coming.

People that live under my roof (4 of us) have the following stocks after my year end evaluation and balancing (selling some old potent LTB&H favorites to trim the portfolios to the below list of favorites, many of which I have had for years) for the future going forward:

Qualcomm
JDS Uniphase
i2
Siebel
Intel
Microsoft
Cisco
Gemstar
EMC
Covad
DoubleClick
Brocade
Broadcom
EMC
Harley Davidson
Charles Schwab
E*Trade
Amgen
Pfizer
ICGE
Ariba
CMGI

You can either divide it up and say that each family member holds 5.5 stocks, or you can pool all of our individual portfolios into one big pot and say we have a combination of 22. I can also say I'm always looking for future growth opportunities for each individual family member and that might include consolidating some of the above positions into others owned if certain reasons present themselves in the future.

We all four have cash as a position in our portfolios and we carry no margin. We also hold real estate and fixed income investments in the US and overseas. I can use the cliche that we sleep at night and are long term buy and hold investors. I am well aware that our household has a diverse set of investments, but the "let a hundred flowers bloom" approach has worked for me in the past and provided the key to our 'comfort zone' which is important.

Now, back to dealing with the two new cases of chicken pox in the household that broke out this evening and memorizing music.
