MD is not used to announcing this kind of news, he has been so proud of its earnings for long long time. Now he needs to face the reality and properly guide the street of future quarters instead of let them or the traders's whisper number take control. That's what all the tech companies are doing, cool down, no more hyper, correctly guide the street about the future earnings and consistently meet them!
I would foresee the whisper number thing vanish from the street..

I say she's going below 30..maybe not tomorrow but soon..dell is not a wall st darling anymore...this will start a selloff big time....I just hope it doesn't end up like cpq...stuck in the mud forever.I hv a lot of friends who hv big chunks of their portfolio in dell.

With the terrible problems I have with my Dell computer and the poor customer service I got over the months trying to fix it I think that they have more problems than just supply from intel. I posted my problems with this computer many thousands of posts ago so do not flame me, just my opinion. No Position
OT. LONGonFIBER, did you see what happened with beaten down fiber manufacturer SUT today? They are a fiber play now. Long.
