Stan,

Sorry we retirees and soon-to-be retirees are posting too often. I suspect that part of the problem in the last couple of days is that strong snow and winds kept us from going to the playground, forcing us to stay at our computers. :)

Seriously, I hope your friend sees this advance welcome to the thread. Any friend of yours is certainly a friend of ours. Bring him to DC with you next time, especially if he picks up the tab. :)

Rocketman and all,

I've never understood the generality that Gorillas don't fall as hard as other stocks or that they rise faster on the rebound. I've never seen empirical evidence of that. Just the opposite, I keep mentioning the 40% fall of Cisco that has occured twice in the last three years during a period in which it is a much more mature Gorilla than Qualcomm.

Now that the Q has fallen 40% from its high, I'm comforted that it has yet something else in common with Cisco that can't be refuted. :) That it fell from an intra-day high that was achieved only by a tremendous spike that didn't hold for the day much less a week or month, is no surprise and certainly of no concern.

Concentrate on rising royalties. Concentrate on the CDMA tornado. Be patient. Expect the market to react to news such as yesterday that 2nd quarter shipments will be disappointing to the uninformed who don't understand the seasonality of shipments; it won't be the only quarter that the market thinks is disappointing. While the stock goes up and down, enjoy the much more inwardly rewarding parts of your lives. And most important, revisit Rule #10 in Gorilla Gaming. If you don't remember what it is, don't be lazy -- look it up!

Siebel followers,

Two analysts raised their revenue estimates for this year nearly 20%. As of now, they expect a nearly 60% increase in Siebel's revenue.

tekboy,

Are ya happy?!!! One post, three messages. Four counting this one to you. :)
