I am familiar with radicchio and was happy to see Certicom join recently. It's tough trying to figure out where everyone is going with this stuff.

My understanding as to why Certicom didn't give more details about QCOM in their release is that, for competitive reasons, they weren't allowed. The main advantage ECC has over RSA in the smartcard arena, as I'm sure you're aware, is that it can be run on a much less expensive DSP smartcard. They cost a fraction of an RSA-capable chip. At any rate, it'll be interesting to see what QCOM has up their sleeves.

If you want to hear something funny, my two biggest holdings dollar-wise are QCOM and SCKT. LOL! Talk about extremes. Of course I shouldn't laugh...neither one has been terribly funny of late. : )
