The rise of the scam stocks.

I think that a lot of money is flowing into funds that invest in micro-caps, aggressive growth, Russell 2000, etc. etc.

I can't attribute the rise in junk like GUMM and REFR to factors like short-covering (the short interest really hasn't been all that high), and the volume is much higher than the usual gaggle of punters could generate.

What is really astonishing however, is that - just like mid and large caps - investors are completely neglecting micro-cap value stocks.

Here's an interesting example - compare the income statements and market cap of a company like MOCO to the income statements and market cap of a company like REFR.
