larry..... the price action should be very volatile short term......the real question is will it go flat for several quarters... as a stock it is neither growth or value.....not enough hype for a momo, and too high a pe for a value investor....not a good place to be in the current market.. "ol honest mike" (would you buy a computer from this man) needs to reinvent the image and vision of the company...but of course as the zealots will reply..."ain't his job"....so what is his job? running the company for shareholder value? or just running the company? where are all the niles haters, idc we got the real number crunchers, and of course the cult like followers of "mikey".....the silence speaks volumes.... earlier in the month a challenge to "see me at the end of the month" was put to me very glibly by a major purchaser of jan50 dell calls(ouch)....well it's the end of the month.... i'm still on the hook for assignment of 11500 shares at an adjusted cost of 34 until jan01....all that i have of dell...sold my last position on 12/15, foolishly bought jdsu and brcm for +100% and +50% gains to date.... i sold the long because of the silence of management, tinged by a eckhard pfeiffer style of arrogance..."y2k....you talking to me?" as always good luck...just another buying opportunity..ed a. i feel bad for some who had unquestioned faith in mikey....he is only a man....a young one at that.....take the money and run mikey!
