The deliberatively avoided specifically beating up on Intel, unlike Gateway.

However you should liste to the conf call.

IT WAS VERY CLEAR.

1. They had to substitute higher speed parts due to shortages of lower speed parts. Specifically the 450's had to replaced by 500s and Dell eat the cost.

2. They are only CONSTRAINED by 800Mhz parts EVEN TODAY.

They also said high 800Mhz end was their "sweet spot".

As far as Intel doing some PR.

I agree completely.

Frankly a mea culpa and an action plan to adress the issues would probably go down well.

And it needs to be Craig Barrett not the weasel Otellini that does it.

Some simple direct straight talk would go a long way IMHO.
