Found this on the PubliCard message thread on Yahoo: "CARD ( thru Tritheum) holds patents for their Virtual Tokens. It is my understanding that this technology affords some unique aspects of security with the smart cards. Though smart cards are slow to catch on in this country their time is coming for all credit cards. Also I suspect CARD with their new CEO is promoting this technology in European markets where smart cards are widely used." Could someone please explain what virtual tokens are and how they work? Does this mean you can electronically download money (or credit) onto your smart card?

Calypso - Thanks for the link to Precis. Cool graphics on their cards. Am going to be travelling tomorrow so I'll put my thinking cap on 10,000 feet up there and let my mind wander. Might come up with a few new uses for those smart cards. Hmm... We could run a virtual contest, with virtual prizes, to see what ideas might pop up. Anyone interested?
