Bill, re:<Jim, I have long suspected that AMD released early Athlons that were intentionally lame to clients...> I wondered that conspiracy myself for a while, but if you remember, the spry Athy was supposed to come out in June and we all expected availability right after Dirk Meyer's speech, but it was more like late August. I suspect that there was a mask revision in that time period, or a couple of mask revisions for the chipset. Imagine if it were really out in June! I'm glad Intel obliged with its 1-2 month coppermine delay. Petz
