:-) actually, I haven't tried a mediation of that type. Usually, it's a lawsuit in progress where the parties are trying to get it settled. It just seems to me that the techniques are adaptable to many different disputes. I almost suggested it to a friend who was having troubles with her 13 year old son. I thought a mediation would be perfect. The nice part is that it gives the son the opportunity to speak candidly with a third party present to keep order. Sometimes people just need a chance to say what's on their mind without interruption. In fact, that's why I set two ground rules: 1. One person speaks at a time, and 2. No name calling. M
