Since I have known you for a long time, I tend to trust you. Do you have any insight into how adding L2 cache to Thunderbird and Spitfire is going? Do you think AMD can yield such beasts? This is my biggest concern.

Maxwell, Copper does add to speed somewhat. Do you understand the "skin effect"[at higher frequecies 800Mhz and up electrons only flow on the surface of the conductor, therfore there's even more resistance as the metal in the center doesn't have any electrons flowing in it].

Copper has 40% less resistance(and thus lowers Impedance) than Aluminum therefore it produces less heat and drops less voltage which in turn drops power consumption.
