Petz I think you are missing 2 very important points from your list.
3)) Trying to push a technology (rambus) down our throats which will
have given us small increases in performance at exorbitent prices but
greatly enhancing their pocket book. When will enough be enough for
Intel? How high do the margins have to go? Couldn't Craig have
possibly squeezed by on $300 mu. and saved Intel the embarrassment
of Rambus.
4)) Using lawyers and threats to keep competitors out of market; eg
Via and mobo makers. How many business want to be controlled by
their supplier. Whats the difference between what Intel is doing
and the mob hitting on business by controlling labor unions. Yes I
know one is legal and ones not, but what Intel is doing is legal
only because the lawyers make the laws, and therefore define whats
legal and whats not.

Re: "ELmer, 3% q to q sucks. If its not overall yield or binsplits, its bad management."

So they're not perfect. Good thing AMD never made a mistake.

Petz - <1. idle fab capacity due to the CuMine delay (PB has admitted this)>

That's not what I said Petz.

If you are going to attribute something to me, get the quotes right.
