Re: I think you should take a hard look at this fallacy of "multiculturalism" and reconsider how "multiethnic" nations have been destroyed in the past by either internal or external problems.

Indeed, my look upon multiculturalism is harder than you think.... Let me just continue your gloomy series:

Planet Earth --a multiethnic world-- destroyed by.... an alien invasion??

PS --Please answer my historical quiz: both Germany and (even more) Japan were not multiethnic countries in the 1940s (unless you consider Jews and Koreans as noxious ethnic aliens within Germany and Japan respectively), right??

So, tell me how come these two ethnic monoliths were destroyed(nuked) in 1945, anyway?? --and don't tell me that Americans come from some other planet!!

<<<Are you one of these loonies that thinks "multiculturalism"
is the saviour of mankind?>>>

John, Russia is the savior of the mankind..(Russia with the help of God of course)

Russian Foreign
Minister Igor Ivanov said Thursday that the military campaign in Chechnya
was to restore the rule of law and human rights and vowed Moscow would
pursue it "to the bitter end."

Calling the air and ground attacks against Chechen rebels "an anti-terrorism
operation", Ivanov told the parliamentary assembly of the 41-nation Council
of Europe that "Russia is protecting Europe's borders from barbaric terrorist
attacks" originating from Afghanistan, the Balkans and the Caucasus.

"The goal of the anti-terrorism operation in Chechnya is to restore the rule of
law and respect for human rights in the region," Ivanov said.
