The odds shift to 1% in your favour over a whole series of hands. Even with the count strongly in your favour, the odds of winning any one hand don't vary too much. 10%-15% chance of losing that one hand may be low.

With the right discipline and training and a game with good rules that lets you vary your bet, you can win a decent amount overtime. The sample size of one night's # of hands is too small for your "advantage" to guarantee anything.

Even with good players, the house's unlimited bankroll, and the fact that their plays are set in stone while the players can make mistakes mean that the house wins.

ps - One similarity between investors and BJ players, you never hear about them losing. <grin>
