CB, I don't know a thing about the inverted yield curve, except that I know I wouldn't lend someone money to get a lower interest if the borrower does not need to return the money until much later rather than sooner.

That comment by the Postmaster really takes the cake. I have to say I am generally satisfied with USPS service, but I am really annoyed at the seemingly annual one cent increase for regular mail stamp. I read in the news about one other interesting piece about this new era information and e-commerce services. In Japan, the 7-11 convenience stores that can be found in every street corner were recently promoted and considered the "service portal center" for Internet services. Upon the announcement of such news, enterprises owning the convenience stores got quite a lift in their stock prices. I can actually see some merits in it, but isn't that interesting? What a time we live in!
