I am recomending Alliance Semiconductor as a value stock at these levels I just purchased shares at 15 1/8. The value of their public shareholdings some of which are subject to lockups is $33-34 (inclusive of taxes) on top of that they have started two venture funds in which they have invested some $20MM and on top of that they have a business which I believe is just starting to turn profitable. Most of their net worth right now is concentrated in the value of their shares in UMC one of the larger Taiwanese foundries. The stock has not moved much in the past few months perhaps because it has no pizazz but I think I am buying at least $1.50 of good assets for $1 and maybe more than that.
