Charles- <BS. This is unbecoming of you. Just about the only mantra you recited was "ramp is fine". I am surprised that you are trying to rewrite the past.>

Whatever. If you actually read a post from Ten in Dec. about having lunch with me, and my posts from when I returned in early Jan., I don't think my posts are inconsistent.

<You attacked my sources when I originally posted.>

On your stepping vs. 800 BS, yes I did.

<There is no bet to be taken. Saying Intel doesn't seem to have an edge leaves open a lot of possibilities.>

Fair enough. Let me be more plain. I anticipate that a new microarchitecture coupled with the process advances Intel has made will put Willamette squarely ahead of AMD in MHz by the end of the year. I.e., I'll bet.

<Nope! I have not followed his posts though I can guess what he may have said ;-)>

I was still lurking when Maxwell was active. He was very pro AMD.
