Julius

Thanks for the information. I too have a 400 Megahertz Pentium II and 128 Meg of RAM. I had no other programs (TASR included) running and still waited nearly 3 hours for my latest 729 kB system backup (backup to "A" drive that is).

I have discussed this situation with Nicolle and a Dave R. at TC2000. They are still looking into my problem. I am now at build 075-0105 with a version of 4.2.0081 of the software and no improvement.

I have noticed that whenever I close TC2000, I have a program running called <ziputil> which never closes. The result of this program is a significant negative impact on processing speed (even the mouse moves slowly across the screen) until I do a CNTR ALT DEL and stop the ziputil process. Once ziputil is stopped, the original speed is restored.

TC2000 people have been very communicative, but no fix as yet.

I recently heard from Nicolle that any secondary storage system (another hard disk for instance) is also a temporary system backup fix so long as it is not the boot ("C") drive. I originally heard it had to be a removable disk drive to be a functional work-around). At present I do not have a second HD, but the idea is attractive as I am approaching the limit of my 1.44M "A" drive. It appears you may actually be experiencing one of the work-arounds of which Nicolle spoke.

Thanks again for the feedback.

I will report what corrects my situation and post same for all. Hopefully soon.
