Interesting report, Michael.

I hadn't done a backup before, but your post inspired me to overcome my negligence. I backed up to my parallel Zip drive, where I keep several large data backups. I expected a long wait since my machine is slower than yours (PII, 233MHz, 64 MB RAM).

The backup took 12 seconds.

I may be blowing smoke here, but it sounds to me like there is a bus conflict between the IDE from your HDD and the floppy. But, I'm no expert.

Have you considered partitioning your HDD so you can back up to another virtual drive, and then simply copy the backup file to the floppy?

ZipUtil is a program supplied by Worden in TC2000. It's properly in your \Windows\Start Menu\Program now. It should not be there.

Ask Dave R. why ZipUtil is in your Start Menu.

This problem with ziputil is one I have also.
Another quirk to it is if you forgot to do something in TC2000 and try to run it again right away, it will say TC2000 is already running.
Anyway, they told me it was normal and to "wait" and it would disappear.
This it does and then TC2000 can be opened again.
Looking forward to the "fix" for this as I too feel the speed of the machine is slower.
