Q has thousands of cdma patents

A search at the US Patent web site reveals that there are 362 patents assigned to Qualcomm. Also, if I remember correctly, Q's key CDMA patents (the ones other companies will find difficult to bypass) expire around 2006. Hopefully, people more knowledgeable in these matters can correct or add to them. They are pretty vital for long term QCOM investors since, now that QCOM got out of the infrastructure and handset business, their IPR royalties comprise a large proportion of their earnings.

At this point my interest in QCOM is rather small -- I own QQQ puts and QCOM is about 6% QQQ. I may consider buying QCOM at considerably lower prices though.
