Hi Saul, Interesting that you bring up Value Cost Averaging. I'm quite familiar with the technique. Some years ago, I built an Excel spreadsheet that compared Dollar Cost Averaging, Value Cost Averaging, and Twinvest. It was really interesting that the overall performance of the models appeared in that same order. I never really took the time to do much with the spreadsheet since it seemed that these techniques were way too slow and boring for today's investor. We got a big yawn from the handfull of people that I sent it too, based on the mentality of todays' market. The theories are still valid and quite interesting for those who are in 'accumulation' mode. Perhaps you would like a copy of the spreadsheet to tinker with. It's really not a piece of 'software', just a simple spreadsheet I have in the dust bin from years ago. If you have Excel, I will be happy to send you a copy. Please realize that it was never really 'developed', and I'm kind of hesitant since I have come a long way since I cobbled this together. I'm not sure if I have the manual for the thing anymore. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that you brought this up. Have you looked into Twinvest? It seems to be one-step beyond Value Cost Averaging. Perfect for long-term accumulation of funds.
