>If I understand, you are saying that the times shown on YOUR T&S are NOT the times shown on the NASD tape?

Correct, but they are very close unless NASDAQ or Comstock is sending them late.

>If this is correct, could I ask WHY you would want to do this rather than have a "mirror" of the NASD tape?

Bandwidth... To conserve bandwidth a data provider must eliminate and compress any data possible, but still provide as much data as necessary for the end-user.

>What could I possibly care what the time is if it is delayed along the way - UNLESS you are trying to prevent us from KNOWING just what that delay is?

Quote.com is not composed of conspiracies as many users seem to believe. We are not trying to prevent you from seeing anything, just trying to provide the best service possible. In fact, if you compare the QCharts clock to incoming Time & Sales you can see how long a tick takes to get from our server to your machine. We are not hiding anything we are displaying it (as it should be IMO.) The only delay you might not see is on Comstock's end.

Many other data providers time stamp their data when it hits your local machine thus hiding any delays you may experience between their servers and your machine.

Let me know if you have any further questions, or comments.
