if I may be allowed to note "the big picture" here...the Dow's off 800 points and the Fed has made it clear that it's rolling up it's sleeves to "cool things off". Asset prices matter to the Fed. Wannabe bulls better pick their stocks ** damn well ** for the next many months.

The "market direction" for the next few months seems so obvious that intricate TA machinations belong in the "watch me make that shot" of finesse pool-playing -- not the real world.

If the Fed wants to "cool things off" (as they should!) they damn well will. Anyone who scoffs at that will probably have their head (er, margin call) handed to them.

There are times to go long and relax and times to be short (the indexes...esp the Nas) and relax. For most (the rest?) of this year, bulls using TA will be chasing ideas to the right of the decimal point, IMHO :-) Witness posters on other threads saying stuff like "but I'm sure the 200 ma will hold!" -- on a stock with (little or) no revenues and a PE of 1,000+????? This is TA?? LOLOLOL...oh sorry :)

whew...I feel lots better now. now, back to our regularly scheduled program...
