Brumar, those dreams are similar to mine, but the first more than the second.

In your first dream, you know only that you have committed some "awful crime", but you don't know what it is. In my dreams, I knew I had killed someone, but I didn't know who. And I had killed the "someone" before my dream even began, so that there was no "violence" in the dream. The "bodies" I tried to dispose of didn't look "real" in my dreams, either; they were more mental constructs than genuine corpses. I don't think they were stand-ins for some real person I unconsciously resented.

In your second dream, you actually commit the "act of murder" (even though you are killing a devil, not a "person"). Did you feel guilty about it? Did you feel "cut off from the human race" for having slain the demon? I think the emotions you felt during the dream are a tip-off as to what the dream was "about."

Maybe the "devil" represented some nasty aspects of your own character that you wanted to get rid of -- and that you found harder to get rid of than you expected!
