While I agree with you that a balanced silver portfolio should include some more speculative(as well as a little bullion), You wouldn't suggest only non-producers would you?

Though the price reduction has been so long even a major listed on the NYSE does NOT produce currently(SIL) if I understand correctly.

Good question! I guess my answer would be that I currently hold several shares in companies that are purely exploration and want to balance my portfolio with some stability. Having said that I am open to suggestions and have already done my DD on some of the companies discussed on this site. I believe silver will move upward this year and want to be in a position to take advantage of that movement. I also believe that there are several under priced companies on the market right now. I will be accumulating more shares as the opportunities present themselves.
