I had the impression he had a bundle of flags- just no pastels. If he would LIKE more flags I will be happy to send him a pineapple- because I think I got those on sale and I bought 3 of them and the first one still hasn't worn out yet. Of course my forgetting to put it up probably has something to do with that.

I was going to interject that some consider my taste to be quite peccable, but I wasn't sure there really was such a word. So, I looked it up, and there is, but my dictionary says it is from Old French and means "liable to sin."

The dictionary suggests looking up "peccant," and since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to drop in and see if the rumors about "peccant" were true. Alas, "peccant" was too busy "violating an accepted practice; erring;" and being "faulty" to enlighten me about about its "sinful; guilty" relationship with "peccable" and, of course, any attachment to the much better known, and well-loved "impeccable."

My youngest nephew picked out the one new flag in the collection passed on to me Christmas morning. It has a curious hand-painted quality about it and features two obviously well-fed and content cats lolling around in someone's flower garden.

I must find a Chinese New Year flag (its the 5th). A quiet, tasteful dragon would be nice.
