I understand overdose. I moved to CA as a kid in the late sixties. I got a heavy dose of "Southerners are all racists and assholes". This irritated. I confess it was partly because I was a Texan, not to be confused with Southerner, thank you. But there is a difference in how someone sees the flag and how they see a people. Now I'm able to wait and see if they are separting the two, or using the broadbrush. But I do understand the overdose and reacting to it.
