Bruce,

great analysis!!

Thank you for stepping aside and showing us the (investment) world from a (slightly) different angle. It's encouraging for developing a personnel DD approach.

PS: The investor who manages to follow this thread alone is definitely NOT the person the authors wrote the book for, originally (this is impossible for someone who has a job which requires a high grade of commitment, a family and a social life outside the stock market)- we, the threadmates (the addicted and/or lucky ones with additional time resources) should encourage ourselves to develop the GG principle ahead rather than to strictly stick with the rules.

I made a lot of money in AOL and DELL. I just didn't feel as safe! :0)

I don't think there is any debate on the board about whether you should invest in Kings. We are all in them. We argue hard about whether a company is one or the other, and I think we always should, and will.
We are too new in the tech cycle to have a lot of cases to cite, as you point out.

However, Cisco and Microsoft are still good investments, as we on this board judge such things, and AOL, DELL, and COMPAQ are not. This tends, (on a very small sample, I admit), to show the power of the Gorilla over the King.

Bruce! A+, IMHO, for your opinion and for the Robbie Stevens presentation!

Thanks!
