Mike,

I haven't seen the current breakdown, but the Clinton administration has essentially been shifting the govt. debt mix towards the short end. What if any effect do you think this going to have on monetary policy considering that rising short term interest rates now have more of an effect on the budget.

Personally I think this whole program is utter folly because of all the potential long term risks.

Wayne

To All, Cheapskate Alert. This is a good one. At either Flamingo.Com or Dealfinder.Com, Ashford.Com offers either $25 off a $35 order or $75 off $100 order. Good luck finding anything for $35 at this place. <g> Ashford is first rate, and high priced, but with these deals, if you need luxury items, they are the best. Fine pens, jewelry, ties, handbags, skin foo foo (the perfumes are not included in the coupon), diamonds, etc. They gift wrap and ship for free, but they do charge tax for those of us who live in Texas.
